Our emotions [chemicals of emotions] have a giant impact on our ability to balance and heal. Emotions come from our desires, hopes and attachments on how we want our life to be. When we are negative about life, we experience anxiety, grief, worry and aggression in life.
Being conscious and allowing ourself the space to be with our emotions, no matter what state we are in, allows us to process them quickly. Suppressing feelings locks them into the subconscious systems of the Mind and Body where they stagnate and the Power flow is reduced from the chakras.
One fabulous book I highly recommend is Feelings Buried Alive Never Die by Karol K. Truman. This is a must for the library!
Aggressive energies that are unexpressed become blocks and contractions in the muscular structure of the body. The muscles freeze, the fascia begins to tighten and the receptor sites in the tissues muddy-up and loose a connection of sensitivity. It impedes our ability to move flexibly and with ease. Eventually, the aggression settles in the back of the neck behind the throat if we do not express what is needing to come out. Sometimes we need to express the words. For if we feel like expressing, but don’t… this habit can keep us in the waiting-room of life. We can become stuck, and blocked emotionally, mentally and physically.
In order to regain function and fluidity, anxiety can come up because we are not use to the sensations that feelings create. Our society creates a culture of what is expected, what is “allowed”… and if your feelings don’t fit into that precious-little-conformed-box… you may feel uncomfortable and uneasy about letting it out!
We must find appropriate ways of allowing our feelings to have breathing space in our lives! If we continually bury our feelings, we deny our growth in life. And when we do not grow, we do not take root in life, and eventually we shrivel up and die.
Feelings are very real, but they are not the Truth. They are perceptions based on our emotional reactions in life. They come from the MEANING we place upon our life. This is why we can become free from emotional turmoil. Not because we experience our emotions on a consistent basis… but because we process our emotions; understanding them… and becoming accountable for why we feel what we feel. It is then we discover the meaning we have placed on the life events which illicit the emotions we are experiencing.
We are more than our feelings & thoughts. We are more than our ideas which create the feelings & thoughts. However great we are, we are learning to manage our IDEAS in order to experience feelings and thoughts which can be used for creativity and health. Learning to manage our ideas is a Spiritual experience which produces maturity.
Emotions ground us into our Authentic and indicate the right action to take in life. When we know what we are feeling, we can live an Authentic life.
Since the chakras are so very sensitive and responsive to our ideas [especially how we feel]… energy of emotions which gets stuck in the tissues can become loosened and implode emotional energy which overstimulates the chakra system. This can cause imbalance…
The Root Chakra
Unexpressed aggression in the body turns into anger and violence. As we feel our life is threatened or our beliefs are attacked, these feelings surface and stimulate the adrenals. Adrenaline flows into the bloodstream and we enter into a state of fight or flight. We become defensive and frightened.
As we discover the aggressive energy around us, we begin to defend our territory and open to a whole monster of expression we never knew existed within us. This monster of energy reserve can be used amazingly in creative expression and directed towards healthy living.
The Sacral Chakra
This chakra response is less aggressive, as it is in the Seat-Of-Pleasure and wellness. We become frustrated when we are not enjoying life’s pleasurable emotions. Frustration feelings are usually surrounded around love, sex, money and joy. When feelings emerge, they are often surround what we desire or what we lack.
As we develop gratitude for what we have and do, we are able to release so much of the frustration held within this chakra.
The Solar Plexus Chakra
The emotions of the Solar Plexus surround power which reflects our inner-worth, relationships and strength. These emotions allow us to get the ignition to stand, be strong and confident as we become liberated in our will.
When our Solar Plexus emotions are repressed, we do not find the confidence within to be present in life… and especially within the situations that call for our affirmative response.
The Heart Chakra
The emotion of the Heart center is Love and is the essence of joy. Love is for ourselves and for others. It is a doorway to a life of expressed compassion and peace, unity & brotherhood. As we express love, it enriches all areas of our life.
The Throat Chakra
We speak our mind and express what we feel when our Throat chakra is functional. We purr like a kitten when we feel cozy and lovely, we grunt and groan when we are experiencing breakthrough. It is a channel for communication and creativity. We shout out with praise, we sing for joy, we speak our prayers & scream our pains.
Keeping our Throat chakra expressing keeps us developing and growing in a healthy fashion. We have the innate right to speak our Mind, and this is one purpose of the Throat chakra.
The Brow Chakra
Regulation of the emotional responses is the emotional function of the Brow chakra. How we respond is important. For if we allow ourselves to feel, emotions can be experienced and released [disappear]. Otherwise, emotions denied will revert to the subconscious and block our energy.
The Crown Chakra
The only emotion of the Crown chakra is bliss. Many have described this state as a union with the divine. It is keenly felt when there is no identification with the lower chakra centers and is often called “transcendence”.
A fabulous teacher of bliss is Abraham Hicks. He teaches on Vibrational Alignment, which is well understood to be the same thing as “bliss”. My favorite way to experience his teachings is through CD | Audio book format. The Astonishing Power Of Emotions is a fabulous place to start!
