I’m pretty logical i n my approach to processing emotions. I mean, I have to make space to tune into how I feel/my emotions/my intuition. Yet, as a result, the messages of my intuition are processed in the framework of some pretty wonderful structure. Thus, my emotions, feelings and intuition really makes sense to me. Although I often don’t have strong emotions one way or another, when I make space to tune in, I recognize that I’m feeling all the time… regardless.
I mostly observe emotions as physical sensations within my body. How I perceive the physical sensations [or don’t] affect my psyche. When the energy of the current state of my body doesn’t shift, and I carry the same burdens for far too long… I’m irritable. I’m ready for change.
When I make space for my own emotion… I can become more aware of other people’s emotions during my day. This helps me do my service. And when I say “other people’s emotions”… I mean the physical energy held within the body… or the personal chemistry going on within the body.
I have realized how IMPORTANT it is for me to set up healthy boundaries [not from others, but…] that allow me to connect with my own inner world: physically [therefore emotionally], spiritually + intellectually.
When I am balanced, I am able to remain still and unaffected by other people’s imbalances… I notice people get excitable and in their heads about their subconscious feelings [the physical/alchemical reactions going on within their mind + body]. It becomes quite apparent that all human beings are doing on a subconscious/feeling-level… is reaching out to the conscious awareness. Human beings are attempting a shift with each and every outburst of emotion. Whether the outburst is intense, subdued… all human beings are attempting to do is FLOW.
I release emotional energy the same way.. I become present and physically aware of it, I validate what’s going on with my conscious awareness. I let my feeling/intuition know I see the reality of the emotion/feeling… “I’m experiencing it”. This makes emotion, in my experience, be like water. It just flows. The more I treat emotion/feeling like a flowing and constantly changing stream/current… the healthier I become.
FLOW also has to do with Quality! Water and Emotion can range in purity from really clear and vibrant [with high units of energy], or dark and murky. Depending on the rate emotions or waters flow, determine what kinds of energies can cultivate/generate/populate it.
I believe: Our desired psychological/attitudal content is completely determined by how our emotions flow. Also, our emotional flow is completely determined by our psychological/attitudal content. So whether you are logical and can easily speak reason to your psyche/attitude… or whether you live by feel and can affect your emotional qualities… YOU CAN CREATE BALANCE THROUGH FLOWING IN THE NATURAL WAY YOU WORK BEST.
I believe this because when I have a healthy emotional flow, I also have a healthy psychological/attitudal content. They just go hand in hand with one another. Whichever I can achieve first will allow me to naturally experience the other.
As a musician, I’m constantly using right brain, then left brain. As a result… some days I’m totally in the flow through living by feel. Some days I’m totally in the flow through my intellect. We all go back and forth. The key to flow is not to be only working on your emotion/feelings… or only be working on your psyche/reason/intellect. If you can identify what arena you are active in within you [logic/psyche/intellect or emotion/feeling/intuition] then you understand what part of your inner world you can make a more powerful impact upon to regain FLOW in your life.
This whole workweek I have been doing what nurtures and sustains better flow in my own emotional life. When I do these things, [Stretching, Pacing myself properly while physically working, staying steady at work, taking time out, sleeping more, taking baths, napping, playing outside and doing art.] I naturally think better and use my logic better. It’s Magic!
You can see in the pic above, I have been inspired to bring out the yoga mat + use it more regularly this week.
I also made this fabulous shake using my Vitamix blender. I have never regretted purchasing it! This smoothie is made with: Wheatgrass, Spinach, Basil, Peaches, Mangoes + Frozen Banana. I actually had some left over and put them into popsicle molds. They were the BEST!
Yummy! I’m glowing!
I’ve also been using my Kombucha. I love drinking it. Mine is prolific and happy. If you want a Kombucha start and are in my neck of the woods… give me a holler. 🙂
